  17. in Lawrence of Arabia; of cancer; in Branford, Conn. Brought
  18. to Hollywood by James Cagney, Kennedy earned five Oscar
  19. nominations and co-starred in The Glass Menagerie, Some Came
  20. Running and Elmer Gantry. He ended a ten-year absence from the
  21. screen in 1989's Signs of Life.
